Making his mark on the contemporary pop music scene, South African singer-songwriter Glen Hartmann has just this week dropped his new single ‘Heartbeat’… and it’s one hell of a tune.
Now based in London, UK, Glen Hartmann incorporates a sophisticated mix of acoustic and electronic sounds with an extensive EDM/pop influence.
Originally from Cape Town, South Africa, Glen Hartmann brings his music to the world, exposing himself and his talented knack for songwriting and production to deliver his smooth-electro-pop track ‘Heartbeat’. The track, produced by Richard Craker and co-produced by Glen, gives off an electrifying feel, sweeping us into the perfect summertime vibe.
As a solo artist and songwriter, Glen’s previous release “Home, I Saw” demonstrated his acoustic roots, moving on to fuel the fire to the next big step in his career as a musician. After changing direction to incorporate more of an electronic sound in his music, Glen’s latest track, “Heartbeat”, blurs the musical boundaries of not only being acoustic and electronic, but placing itself within both chill and upbeat genres.
Of Glen’s music it has been written that, “there is a wide variety between tracks that keep you captivated, making you want to come back for more.” And, “Lyrically you get a depth and passion with every song… you get a real sense of there being a truly genuine message behind each track, something that makes it very easy to fall in love with his music.”
Through a matter of musical expression, Glen does not hold himself to the boundaries of specific genres, rather, taking a unique collection of many different elements of tonalities to create a mix of multi-instrumental sounds.
Through live performances and punchy dance tracks, the multi-talented composer incorporates guitar, keyboard and flute into his act.
Plummeting onto the scene with style and aptitude in 2018, Glen Hartman’s new single ‘Heartbeat’ gives us a fresh new look into many great things to come for this fully-fledged new pop artist.
